The QC analyst for natural colors is responsible for implementing analytical procedures complying with Prodalim standards. Their main role is to test and approve raw materials and final products in order to ensure compliance and set protocols for the three stages of production (before, in-process and final set) ensuring all the quality levels are met.

The role involves expertise in QC analytical methods and includes deep knowledge in natural color materials quality parameters and analytical evaluations.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of new QC methods for natural colors – transfer from Slovenian development site to Iberia.
  • Implementation of internal and external control methods.
  • Implementation of internal and external specifications for raw materials and final products.
  • Performing quality analysis on finished product and raw materials.
  • Sending samples to external Lab to perform analysis according to customer requirements.
  • Updating analytical results in the corresponding computer files.
  • Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements to ensure the safety of personnel and integrity of the samples.
  • Performing stability studies of final products according to internal procedures.
  • Close cooperation with development, procurement, production and QA teams – providing support on compliance of the process according to company standards and customers specifications.
  • Overview of QC lab equipment and its maintenance.
  • Ordering chemicals and other ingredients for laboratory needs.
  • Using proper personal protection in accordance with lab procedures.
  • Daily verification of lab equipment.
  • Analysis of the drinking water’s quality and control of Legionella and water hardness.
  • Sampling of surfaces for cleaning verification.
  • Provide quality documents to other departments: Customs, Logistics, etc.
  • Verification of the CCPs.
  • Support to the Quality Manager in preparing the necessary documentation to comply with IFS requirements.
  • Perform daily plant checks to ensure compliance with GMP standards and food safety requirements.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Master’s degree in Food Science, Chemical engineering, Chemistry or other Technology Science.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience at laboratory work.
  • Experience in food additive industry will be an advantage.
  • Skills in quality control methods.
  • Understanding and interpretation of quality analysis results.
  • Organized, precise and hard worker.
  • Good communication and language skills (English), written and spoken.
